About Chamundeswari Transports
Rooted in Virajpet, built on trust — serving Coorg's transport needs.
Our Story
Chamundeswari Transports was founded in Virajpet — the administrative heart of Kodagu and a town nestled among the coffee hills of Coorg. What began as a modest transport operation has grown into a trusted name among coffee planters, estate owners, and residents across the Kodagu district.
From humble beginnings moving goods along narrow plantation roads, we have expanded to serve the full breadth of the region's transport needs — always maintaining the personal, reliable service that earned us our reputation. Founded by Mahalingam T V, the company has been built on decades of hands-on experience and an unwavering commitment to honest service.
FOUNDER
Mahalingam T V
With over 40 years of experience behind the wheel and on the road, Mahalingam T V founded Chamundeswari Transports on a simple belief: that every customer deserves honest service, careful handling, and a driver who takes pride in his work. His decades of experience navigating the winding roads of Coorg — through rain, harvest season, and everything in between — is the foundation on which this company stands.
Our Name
We are named after Goddess Chamundeshwari — the presiding deity of Mysore and a revered presence throughout Coorg and the broader Mysore region. Chamundeshwari is a symbol of strength, protection, and prosperity.
Our name is a reflection of our values: reliable protection of the goods entrusted to us, the strength to serve even in challenging terrain, and a commitment to the prosperity of the communities we serve.
Coorg — India's Coffee Country
Kodagu (Coorg) is India's largest coffee-producing region, responsible for over 30% of the country's coffee output. The district's estates produce both Arabica and Robusta beans, alongside pepper, cardamom, and other spices.
We understand the seasonal rhythm of coffee harvest — the urgency of moving freshly picked beans quickly, the demands of the October-to-February harvest window, and the care required in handling green beans destined for auction or direct export.
Our deep local knowledge of Kodagu's terrain, roads, and communities sets us apart. We are not just transporters — we are part of the fabric of this land.
